Checked the rates this morning as usual. Today's 22K gold rate in India is ₹14,450 per gram, 24K is ₹15,764, and 18K is ₹11,823. I update this every morning after the IBJA publishes the daily benchmark so you have the number before you walk into any jewellery shop today.

What Does Today's Gold Rate Mean If You Are Buying?
At ₹14,450 per gram for 22K gold today, a 10 gram gold chain will cost you roughly ₹1,44,500 in metal cost alone. Add a typical 12% making charge and 3% GST and your total comes to approximately ₹1,66,695 for a plain 10 gram chain.
For those buying 24K gold coins or bars for investment — today's rate is ₹15,764 per gram. A 5 gram coin will cost you around ₹78,820 plus GST.
18K gold, used mainly for diamond and studded jewellery, is at ₹11,823 per gram today.
